World Prematurity Day on November 17 in 2025

November 17 is the World Prematurity Day. ATOM MEDICAL CORPORATION holds activities to raise awareness of the issue on preterm infants. On the theme of "Compassion and Gratitude", we express our gratitude to medical workers as a company engaged in neonatal care around the world.

We will decorate our head office, Osaka showroom, sales offices, Urawa factory, and Wako Service Center in purple.

The symbolic color of World Prematurity Day, representing the sensitivity and uniqueness of preterm babies.

・Wearing Purple

Our employees are encouraged to wear purple items during work to show solidarity and support.

・Online Engagement

We will share information about related events across Japan and offer downloadable message board designs on 'Our First NICU', a website for families of preterm babies operated by ATOM MEDICAL CORPORATION.

■About World Prematurity Day

One in ten babies in the world is born prematurely. World Prematurity Day is one of the most important days of the year to raise awareness of the challenges and the burden of preterm birth facing on society. It was initiated by the European Foundation for the Care of Newborn Infants (EFCNI) and partnering European parent organizations in 2008. On this day, various activities related to preterm birth are carried out around the world, based on the symbol color purple.
