World Prematurity Day on November 17

November 17 is World Prematurity Day. Currently, it has been reported that one in seven babies is born preterm (less than 2,500 g) worldwide. Initiated by the European Foundation for the Care of Newborn Infants (EFCNI) and partnering European parent organizations, World Prematurity Day is one of the most important days of the year to raise awareness of the challenges of preterm birth and the burden it imposes on society around the world. On this day, various activities related to preterm birth are carried out around the world.


As a company engaged in neonatal care around the world, Atom Medical Corporation will hold activities that celebrate World Prematurity Day to raise awareness of the issue of preterm birth.


The following events will be held by Atom Medical for a week from November 10 to 17.


The entrance of the head office will be illuminated in purple.
From around 4:00 to 6:30 pm, the entrance on the 1st floor of the head office will be illuminated in purple. Purple is the symbolic color of World Prematurity Day.


Atom Medical employees will wear a purple tie.
During the period, Atom Medical employees will wear a purple tie or similar accessories in purple.
